According to the experts' calculations, one-third of the overall heat is used for the heating of dwelling houses and industrial buildings. These numbers could be much smaller, if the buildings were insulated by the modern materials. The shield constructions have both heat and sound insulation functions. About unigue properties of the basalt fiber the experts have known since the Soviet Union times, this material was successfully used in ship and aircraft building, space construction sphere. Mostly it was used by the experts of the military industry. In agricultural industry the basalt goods were used wider only during the last decades. At the present basalt goods are successfully used for heat and sound insulation of industrial and agricultural buildings, dwelling houses, cottages and garages, for the insulation of turbines of heating and hydro power stations, where it's very noisy and the temperature is very high.
Another sphere of basalt materials use is heat insulation of pipelines. Comparatively with the traditional materials, the basalt goods are ecology friendly, do not contain phenol - formaldehyde resin (pitch), etc.
- Local customers learned about the unique capabilities of the modern materials due to the foreign manufacturers, that supplied these products to the local market. How can you describe the situation now?
- At present at the local construction market import insulators still predominate. Lately the construction firms pay more attention to such properties of the insulators as ecology friendliness and non -inflammability. And our native insulators possess much better properties compared with the imported goods as our materials are produced by the phenol-free method, besides it their application temperature is up to 900еC and they are absolutely non inflammable.
The market of technical insulation (where working temperature is up to 250еC and more) is successful for the local manufacturers. The leading representatives are Bilytzk Plant "Insulation" and the Chernovtsy Heat and Sound Insulation Plant "ROTIS" (product assortment of which has greatly increased).
The largest foreign manufacturers are ROCKWELL, PAROC (mineral wool), IZOVER (fiber glass wool). Their share in construction is about 90%.
Product assortment of the Chernovtsy Plant TIM 'ROTIS" - mats uncoated and coated with various fabrics, stripes, cardboard, (hard and soft), non-inflammable slabs (water repellent and simple), sound absorption mat, fiber.
Soon slabs with the density of 40, 60, 80 kg/m3 will appear at the market. At the moment they are tested.
- Who is the consumer of your product?
- Our products are used in construction, power industry, shipbuilding, aircraft construction, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, food industry and other spheres.
- What keeps back the increase of suggestions as to the dwelling houses warming in Ukraine?
- Today demand on insulation products is larger than never before. But increase of the suggestions is kept back by the economic situation and manufacturing capabilities of the plants - producers.
- Can you tell about any seasonal sale character of your product, promotion peculiarities, advertising, etc.
- Significant part of the sale was noted last months, although lately all products are sold perfectly well in any other season of the year.
Marketing department of the plant occasionaly makes marketing research, and the results are commercial secret.
For the product promotion our plant uses the Internet services quite widely.
- What perspectives of insulation materials use would you point out?
- The tendency to increase the production and sales amounts is quite noticeable now. When forecasting let's be cautious and time will put everything at places.
